Ned Eisenberg was an American actor known for his recurring role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Roger Kressler and more recently Mare of Easttown.

He was born on January 13, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, into a Jewish family and grew up in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx.

Eisenberg graduated from Riverdale Junior High School in 1972 and later went to Performing Arts High School.

He had a leading role in the film Key Exchange (1985), followed by a major tour of the Broadway play Brighton Beach Memoirs, and guest star roles on various 1980s television series including The Equalizer and Miami Vice.

This led to a starring role in the television comedy The Fanelli Boys, which also starred Christopher Meloni and Joe Pantoliano.

In 1987, Eisenberg co-founded the Naked Angels Theatre Company with his friend Fisher Stevens.

According to Ned’s wife Patrica Eisenberg, he died on February 27, 2022, after a battle with cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma cancers.

He was 65 years old. Ned Eisenberg is survived by his wife, Patricia, and son, Lino Eisenberg.
