Mason Jones is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Connors State Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Jones concluded his first year with the Razorbacks in third place in the team’s scoring average (13.9 points per game) and in second place in the team’s rebounding average (3.9 boards per game).

Arkansas defeated Georgia by a score of 70–60 thanks in large part to Jones’ 23-point performance. Jones had two separate games against Florida and Mississippi State in which he scored a season-high 30 points.

Jones entered his junior year as the team’s returning all-star with the highest rebounding average and the second-highest scoring average.

Following his performance against Rice, in which he scored 32 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and made five steals, Jones was awarded the title of Southeastern Conference (SEC) Player of the Week.

On December 14, 2019, he established a new career-high with 41 points while leading his team to a 98–79 victory over Tulsa. For his efforts, he was once again selected as the SEC Player of the Week.

Jones was named the Player of the Week for the third time after he had a performance in which he scored at least 30 points in both of his team’s games. On January 30, 2020, South Carolina defeated Alabama 82–78, and Jones scored 34 points in his team’s loss to South Carolina.
