Kent Bazemore is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.
As a junior at Old Dominion University in 2010–11, Bazemore won the Lefty Driesell Award, an award given to the best defensive player in college basketball.
On July 1, 1989, he was born in Kelfors, North Carolina, in the United States. Ken Bazemore Jr. was born Kenneth Lamont Bazemore Jr., and he is currently 32 years of age.
While attending Old Dominion University, he was a member of the Old Dominion Monarchs basketball team.
In his final season at ODU, he averaged 15.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. He participated in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament in 2009 and the NCAA tournament in 2011.
Before joining the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors for the Orlando Summer League and Las Vegas Summer League, Kent Bazemore was undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft.
In July 2013, he was a member of the Golden State Warriors’ NBA Summer League team.
After being acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers in a trade on February 19, 2014, Kent Bazemore was forced to miss the rest of the season with a torn tendon.
He was a member of the Atlanta Hawks from 2014 until 2019. The Portland Trail Blazers acquired him in trade on the 24th of June of this year.
