Kent Bazemore is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.

As a junior at Old Dominion University in 2010–11, Bazemore won the Lefty Driesell Award, an award given to the best defensive player in college basketball.

After going undrafted in the 2012 NBA draft, Bazemore played in the Orlando Summer League for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Las Vegas Summer League for the California Warriors.

He signed a contract with California on July 26.

The Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League were his first-year team, and he played for them a number of times during the season.

A season-high 14 points were scored by him in a loss against the Chicago Bulls on March 15, 2013.

Re-assigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors on February 1, 2014.

Called back on Groundhog Day, then again on Lincoln’s Birthday, he was assigned again on February 11, and called back again on March 2.

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Bazemore and MarShon Brooks in a trade for Steve Blake on February 19, 2014.

On March 4, he scored 23 points in a loss against the New Orleans Pelicans, tying his career-high.

Baseball player Kent Bazemore and his wife, Samantha Serpe have two children, a daughter, and a son. They are Jett Bazemore and Nixon Louise.

Kent Bazemore’s son, Jett Bazemore was born prematurely on April 20, 2019. Her mother, Samantha was three weeks pregnant without knowing.

It took the sharp lens of her fitness manager having a feeling about her pregnancy and ordered her to go for a pregnancy test.

Kent Bazemore’s daughter, Nixon Louise was born on September 6, 2020, at home. Nixon’s birth was facilitated by Kent, her mother, and her sister, Sloane Serpe.
