Dwight Howard is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

He is an NBA champion, eight-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA Team honoree, five-time All-Defensive Team member, and three-time Defensive Player of the Year.

The Magic defeated the 76ers in six games in the first round of the playoffs, with Howard leading the way with 24 points and 24 rebounds in Game 5.

At 3–2 down in Game 5 of the second-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics, Magic center Dwyane Wade publicly expressed his displeasure with coach Stan Van Gundy’s decision-making.

Howard scored 40 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, helping Orlando to their first NBA Finals appearance in 14 years.

There were two home wins for Los Angeles, but one for Orlando, which drew them level at 2–1.

Despite Dwight Howard’s 21 rebounds and 9 blocks, the Magic lost in overtime in Game 4 of the Finals.
