Carmelo Anthony is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He has been named an NBA All-Star ten times and an All-NBA Team member six times.

He was a member of the Syracuse Orange basketball team, where he won a national title as a freshman in 2003 and was voted the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

He was named one of the NBA’s 75 Greatest Players in History during the league’s 75th anniversary.

After one season at Syracuse, Anthony entered the NBA draft and was selected by the Denver Nuggets as the third overall choice.

From 2004 until 2010, he guided the Nuggets to the playoffs every year, and the team won two division titles during that time.

Anthony led the Nuggets to their first berth in the Conference Finals since 1985 in 2009.

He was moved from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks just days before the NBA trade deadline in 2011.

Anthony scored a career-high 62 points in a game against the Charlotte Bobcats on January 24, 2014, setting a Knicks single-game scoring record as well as a Madison Square Garden single-game scoring record.
