Austin Reaves is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Wichita State Shockers and the Oklahoma Sooners.

On August 3, 2021, Reaves agreed to a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, despite the fact that he had been passed over in the draft for the 2021 NBA season.

Reaves made his first appearance in the National Basketball Association (NBA) on October 22 and scored eight points off the bench in the team’s 115–105 loss against the Phoenix Suns.

On December 15, he led the Dallas Mavericks to a victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves by scoring 15 points, shooting 5-of-6 from three-point range, grabbing 7 rebounds, and hitting the game-winning 3-pointer.

Reaves recorded the first triple-double of his career and set career highs in points, rebounds, and assists in the Lakers’ game against the Denver Nuggets on April 10, 2022.

The game ended in a 146–141 overtime victory for the Lakers over the Nuggets. Reaves finished with 31 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists.
